European Public Administration

In 2025, the European Union spent a total of €12.8bn on public administration. This includes pension costs of €2.8bn and spending on European Schools of almost €300 million. A large share consists of administrative expenditure of EU institutions, totalling €9.7bn. This item also includes the European Parliament (€2.5bn) and the European Commission (€4.5bn).
